Laurene M. Szwedo

Laurene M. Szwedo, 90 of Glen Ellyn. Beloved wife of the late Ralph for almost 60 years. Loving mother of Robert (Michelle) and the late Joseph. Proud grandmother of Michael. Dear daughter of the late Nestore & the late Grace Tullio. Sister of John (the late Kathy) Tullio and the late Steve (the late Marie) Tullio. Barbara (late James) Kokonas. Aunt of Kathy, Tony, Bill (Sindy), Heather (Jason), Nick (Dagmara). Great aunt of Aly, Megan, Stephanie, Stella, James, Theo, Leo and Gwen.

Laurene was a strong, dependable, caring and loving wife. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend. Her laugh and smile would fill the room with love and happiness. 

Laurene worked in the accounting department at Drury Lane for many years. She truly enjoyed working there. Socializing made her very happy. She always looked forward to visiting with family and her very close friends. Above all, the love for her grandson Michael always brightened her day.

Mom, I love you and we will all miss you.

A visitation for Laurene will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 4-9 PM at Leonard Memorial Funeral Home, 565 Duane St. Glen Ellyn (www.leonardmemorialhome.com/630-469-0032). Her funeral Mass will be the following day (Friday) at 10 AM at St. Pius X Church, 1035 East Madison, Lombard, IL. Burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
